Show from earlier in the year.

I was going through old e-mails and found this video of a show I was in. The Collection, an exhibition curated by Holy Ghost, for which they invited artists to submit work over the duration of a week. Continually growing, the exhibition contains work from across the globe with submissions coming in from as far as the Philippines and United States.

Recent show.

Woop, hello!

Hannah Tucker has got herself in another show (finally)

I've recently been in a show and had my work bought (woo). It is a piece nameed 'Flower Bird', initially a hand-made collage that has then been screen printed. If you have time please go and visit the Pallant House Gallery. There's a great number of other 'famous' work there to look at too. xxx

Eco Lion.

Eco Lion is finally completed, but needs a professional photo shoot! I feel this piece has obviously been very figurative but literal in materials. Will wite a short piece about why exactly I made the lion later. Stay in touch x

Constructed fabric rubble

Yes, look how much time has gone into cutting, sewing and gluing. I think it has taken me a total of 5-7 hours just to glue! Oh, how tedious that part was, i have also just spent an hour fixing the head on to skeleton. x

Fabric rubble

The mane is complete, now attaching it is another thing. Will post the lastest pictures soon, almost finish, yay. x

Clamps and such

Decided that my 50 year desk serves as a good clamping device as I can't find my clamps amongst the fabric rubble in my room. Fixing head to skeleton, quite hard work, need another set of hands. x

Hair noise

I can make my hair sound like a string on a bow, I'm really tired and should plan my next move. x

NEW HEAD!

Ola,

Here is the head finished and felted (by hand). I learnt a new technic, making felt direct from a sheep. It's quite easy but, very time consuming and you might have a possible allergic reaction to natural wool (as i found out). Anyway, work is moving slowly but surely.
The next stage will take me longer so goodbye for now. x

NOW THE HEAD!

A Photo of the Lions head! I have made a cast in plaster from a clay head but didn't want to bombard you with loads of photos! x

Making work

I have been beavering away making a lions head, this is to build a new portfolio. My previous one is too old and outdated.
This is what the mane and head will sit on, basically a skeleton. It took me a couple of weeks to make as I work full time and general life admin needs to be attended. I'll be posting more photos of the making process online. x
